SECOND PLACE (tie)
Architect
The WWJGRD*
The outdoor living area is literally central to this design, as the first-floor front and rear porches connect to one another. This configuration creates a grotto of outdoor living space encompassing a summer kitchen and offering access to the pool. The first floor is flanked by a home theater and a game room with a bar on one side and a guest suite on the other side. But if the first floor is dedicated to recreation, the 1,919-square-foot second floor is dedicated to day-to-day living, with a kitchen, a great room, an office and a master bedroom.
Bedrooms: 2
Bathrooms: 3
Square feet: 3,302

* WWJGRD stands for “What Would James Gamble Rogers Do?” Rogers was a legendary Winter Park architect who designed many of the city’s most beautiful homes.

From the Judges The central portion of the elevation and the general plan inverting all
entertainment spaces to the ground floor and the corresponding outdoor spaces is wonderful.
